Gaslight, 560 Harrison Ave, Boston: Monday through Friday from 5-6:30 p.m. $5.95 cocktails and $2 Pabst beers, plus feast on free chef's whim bar bites. The special is only available at the bar.

The gaslight has AMAZING food and its very reasonable. Plus the ambiance is fantastic with floor to ceiling subway tile. Entrees are in the $20 range. My boyfriend and I dined there for Valentines day this year and got a bottle of wine, and appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert for under $130! I can't say wnough about the food, service and value. This place ranks in my top ten!

I'm so glad chowder is on the Happy Hour menu at the Summer Shack. I think their chowder is great and one of my favorite combos in the whole world is a nice cup of hot clam chowder and a cold, dark beer!! Can we go now??

Back Bay: McCormick and Schmick's

McCormick and Schmick's, 34 Columbus Ave: Famous $1.95 Bar Food Menu Mon-Thur until 6:30 pm.

The burgers are a great option at McCormick's, they are $2.95, and it's a regular size burger with fries, no skimping on the portions! I've also had the spinach and artichoke dip, which is decent, and since it's $1.95 you can't really complain. The place does get crowded right after work so go as early as possible.
